This dry comedy is a novel idea loosely based on some factual happenings in and around my own life and some of my best friends and their associates, albeit the facts have been exaggerated to fit myself, my friends and some of their idiotic associates.
The main character is Simon Pockett, who insists he has two letter Ts on the end of his name simply because it is on his birth certificate. He is a simpleton in life who goes out of his way to help the unfortunates in his disheveled world he has to live in. He possess a power of arrogance with a sarcastic twist to his nature to an end where his simple tasks end up in many innocent, yet unforeseen troubles, for example, a short visit in prison, receiving the odd soaking of the head from ex-girlfriends and the very often falling out with his ex-wife. Its even known for him to fall out with some of his best friends, even in his Christian life, including the local vicar. He is without doubt a bible pusher who likes quite a few alcoholic drinks.
