This version of William Shakespeare's Macbeth is abridged with ample stage directions added to facilitate study for learners who often struggle with decoding Early Modern English. These stage directions are designed to help students visualize the actions of the characters as well as to make impromptu classroom performances more easily attainable. The utmost effort has been made to preserve the intent, breadth, and language of Shakespeare's original text in spite of excisions and parenthetical additions.
