A. J. Schexnayder is an award winning artist with an accomplished career spanning more than 70 years. He is best known for his work in watercolor, but has also created works in the mediums of acrylic, pencil, pen and ink, egg tempera and oil, as well as etchings.
Mr. Schexnayder enjoys sharing his talent, skills and love for art. He is a sought after teacher, lecturer and juror, and conducts watercolor workshops and demonstrations.
A high school art class served to lay a creative foundation for a future in art. He studied at The New Orleans Academy of Art and the John McCrady Art School in New Orleans, Louisiana.
