This family lineage genealogy book for the Belk descendents has an easy to read format of short biographies down four generations from the first known Belk brothers, John and William, who settled in North and South Carolina. The fifth generation is presented in a list form, with who they married. That is over 1, 300 persons across 150+ years. Not only this but this body of work includes some pictures and over 250+ pages of complied short-hand transcribed source citations at your fingertips. There were so many resolved connections during this research. Using paper-trail evidence and/or DNA has untangled the connections and helped remove speculation.
