Mormons Ñ members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ñ have a unique heritage. Not only a faith but also a people, a society, a culture, the ÒMormon KingdomÓ began in upstate New York, but built its strength within the shadows of the everlasting hills, in Utah. Mormondom gathered adherents from many nations, speaking many languages, mostly British and European. The melding of those languages and traditions has produced a ÒlanguageÓ or a Òfolk vernacularÓ which is unique. This little book gathers together some of the ÒMarmunizumsÓ collected by the authors over a period of many years. It is not published in an attempt to denigrate, only to enjoy Ñ as inheritors of the culture Ñ some of the peculiarities of our culture.
