Even now, I hear it and I want to wake up with
Just my pajamas on; I want to walk down the stairs and
be greeted by my parents to a wonderful breakfast;
I want to sit down at my kitchen table and look outside
at our backyard. I want to eat pancakes on the unsteady kitchen table,
to sleep in as long as I want as hours slip by.
I want to be lazy again: a person who sleeps in as long as they want,
a person who steps down the stairs into a big breakfast.
