Art Allen, my grandfather, was a photographer. He along with a few others had theirown studio in Chicago, Illinois. He mainly took photographs of industrial sites and advertising. Sometimes he used his own children in the ads. On the side he enjoyed photographing nature.
He and my grandmother, June, went on trips to other countries. One photo that I always think about when I think of my grandfather was of a lion and her cubs. IÕm sure he used a telephoto lens and that he was far away from that lion, but itÕs an awesome photo. He has another photo that my grandmother appropriately titled ÒPollution CrucifixionÓ. This photo was taken off the back of a boat on Lake Michigan. The skyline was heavily polluted and the waves the boat made looked like the crucifixion.
Needless to say my grandfather very much enjoyed his photography, he was extremely talented in his profession and we dedicate this book to his memory.
