IshoÕdad was a native of the city of Merv (currently in Turkmenistan), and became bishop of Hadatha, one of the sees belonging to the Metropolitan province of Assyria, in the mid 9th century. He wrote commentaries on most of the books of both the Old and the New Testaments and is considered one of the most important representatives of the tradition biblical exegesis of the Assyrian Church of the East. This volume contains his commentaries on the Acts of the Apostles and the Epistles in English.
