CAPTAIN AERO Ð aka ÒKing of the Sky TrailsÓ Ð debuted in Captain Aero Comics #1 (December 1941) just as the USA was entering World War Two Ð and over the course of the war he battle Nazis and Japanese, with the use of his specialized plane, and aided by a crew of friends, sidekicks, and followers. His exploits were always on the edge of superhero-style, just realistic enough to appeal to appeal to fans of the combat comic genre. He appeared in 23 issues of his own title, across two publishers, with another story in the one-shot title VERI BEST SURE FIRE COMICS. With the close of the war, CAPTAIN AERO turned his adventurous attentions in new directions before ending his run ---- but we won't tell you everything and spoil it.
