During a massive forest fire that immolated her parents, socialite Carol Vance Martin was
given amazing pyrokinesis powers by the Lord of Fire. Adopting the guise of Wildfire, prim and
proper Carol dons an exotic costume to battle gangsters, racketeers, Nazis, mad scientists, and
various other neÕer-do-wells. Tragically Wildfire only appeared in thirteen issues of QualityÕs
Smash Comics anthology series. Her short lived series was deftly written by Robert Turner
with artwork by the talented Jim Mooney.
This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are
over eighty years old. The best efforts have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as
possible but not every panel is perfect and some allowances for the age of the books need to
be considered when judging the overall contents.
