This book contains the same text as the English translation of the Dhammapada translated by Friedrich Max MŸller and published in The Sacred Books of the East, except that this version uses American rather than British spelling (harbor rather than harbour, for example) and this version uses gender-neutral language when not referring to a specific person or persons of a certain gender; for example, this version uses the word humankind rather than the word mankind.
