HARDBACK VERSION: The DissentersÕ Burying Ground at Ponsharden is a site of national historic importance. Opened in 1808, it received approximately 580 burials before being abandoned in the early 20th century. In 2012, after a century of vandalism and neglect, a detailed survey was made of all surviving monuments at the cemetery. This book is a summary of the surveyÕs findings. It contains a history of the burial ground, descriptions of all existing monuments, biographies of all persons recorded on memorials and a complete transcription of the surviving burial registers.
