The Dovetail Journal, is a cross-disciplinary fully peer-reviewed journal based in Wales at Bangor University. The journal values intersections between the critical and creative aspects of literary study, creative arts, and media; between the arts and other select disciplines as per issue; and between postgraduate students, holders of a PhD, experienced academics and postgraduate alumni. Hence the name of the journal, 'The Dovetail' as a visual construction that indicates an interlocking between creative and critical practice across disciplines. The contents of Issue 2, 2016, span subjects ranging from the medieval period to contemporary culture with reference to a phenomenological basis. The contents include readings of poetry, film, photography and art in critical practice. Creative practice articles include poetry, a screenplay and an animation, (the animation will be available to view from the website 'The Dovetail Journal' Dec. 2016).
