Dr Cyril Levene set up the first blood bank in Ethiopia between the years 1969-71. This catalogue accompanied an event that took place in Addis Ababa in April 2016 that commemorated his achievements. Within it are historical images of the blood bank in Addis Ababa at the time as well as a selection of some extraordinary photographs that were on show during this event.
