The book chronicles the family history of Eilert Brandt and his wife Margarete Westing and their descendants. Eilert and Margarete emigrated to rural Central Texas in the nineteenth century from Germany and established a successful farming community. This book will be mainly of interest to their descendants, but may also be useful to genealogists and historians of the important contribution of Central European immigrants to Texas culture and history.
