This book is an 'apologia' or a defense for the prophet Joseph Smith. It brings together under one cover some astounding rational evidences for his prophetic mission. In particular, prophecies regarding the latter-day Messiah Ben Joseph, and the coming forth of the Book of Mormon are discussed. Simply stated, a young farm boy from upstate New York in the 1820s would not have been acquainted with the non-canonical biblical tradition, or prophecies from the ancient world as examined here unless instructed and tutored from on high.
