Benjamin was a young shepherd boy in the fields outside of the little town of Bethlehem, sitting next to a fire watching the sheep shuffle around trying to sleep for the night. Suddenly, the brightest star he had ever seen appeared in the sky over Bethlehem.
He remembered the sights and sounds earlier in the day when he slipped into town to watch the crowds of people coming from all parts of the country to participate in a census ordered by Caesar Augustus.
As Benjamin arrived, this is what he heard and saw on that unforgettable day. Little did he know then that it would turn out to be-The First Night Before Christmas.
