Through his research in many languages over a period of seven years, he has come up with some surprising and ground breaking ideas concerning the origins of the English and their language. He conjectures, with a great deal of proof, that the people living in what is called England are not of Anglo-Saxon origin and what is more they don't speak an Anglo-Saxon language. He explains convincingly that neither the Norman nor the Anglo-Saxon invasion changed the language of the invaded people in modern day England. He shows that Old English, the ancestor of Modern English, isnÕt an Anglo-Saxon language at all; he shows that it has its roots in Old Frisian. Finally, he postulates that this would mean that the Old Frisian/English language was already being spoken in England over 2100 years ago. This is The Frisian Enigma.
