A tale of what might have might have happened. In July 1690 the French Fleet rampaged through the little town of Teignmouth on the south coast of Devon setting fire to the West town. With no records to tell us what became of the simple fisher folk who lived there this is the tale of what might have happened in the aftermath and loss of everything they had, their simple houses, their boats with their sails and nets, as well as the destruction visited up the churches.
