The Great Power of Love is a true story: mighty, poignant and ultimately redeeming, about a mother and her constant struggles and sacrifices to acquire a life of dignity and respect for her children with disabilities. The writer walks us through her life in The Dominican Republic and eventually here in The States; and enlightens us on the extreme differences between the two countries and cultures in relation to the Health system, the understanding of disabilities and the consequences of ignorance.
