After the bombing of Bath, England, in 1942, Joni-Pip's American Father moves the family to Sherwood Forest. When Joni-Pip's life in the wood begins, she is amazed to discover that the animals and her beloved Teddy Bear, Ethelred-Ted, can speak. They all then solve the puzzle of something found and then lost!
