Piecework and patchwork quilting were taught to 'The Four of Us' by Sandi Fox of California textile renown. The women became close friends and, in turn, taught the craft at Mormon Handicraft in Salt Lake City, Utah for almost three decades. Their legacy continues throughout the Salt Lake and Utah Valleys where they helped enrich the lives of many women. Joy Knowlton, Carol Bitner, Carol Morgan, and Beth Ann Neville taught skills and made friends with hundreds of women as they worked to create a body of handwork unequaled in the intermountain west. Work in this book focuses on the author's mother, Joy Knowlton.
