These are the stories of the Author's childhood summers at "The Lake" during the nineteen-twenties, as told to her children and subsequently transformed into a book. It includes tales told in a semi-fictional form, from a child's perspective, along with some of the Author's additional stories remembered by the Editor, her son. An adult reminiscence completes the picture, bringing back a much simpler time and place - the place being Lake Okoboji, in the State of Iowa.
