This volume contains more results of our search for members of our Lewis family who lived in the contiguous border counties of Rockingham, North Carolina and Henry, Virginia some 200 years ago. James Madison Lewis was a farmer living in Henry County, Virginia, then gravitating to Rockingham and finally to Forsyth County, North Carolina. He and wife Agnes had known four children, Lindsay George, Preston Van Buren, Virginia Caroline and Hugh Alvis. Each of these married and left a large posterity, the focus of this volume.
