Ralph B. Philbrick (1903-1988) worked as a logger, trapper and hunting and fishing guide in the Rangeley region of Maine for his entire life. A guide until the age of 82, he was one of Maine's last old-time guides. Ralph and his wife, Alice Louise, had three sons: Gilbert, Alan and John.
