Ita Walsh was born in Tipperary in the 1920's. Her collection of short stories bring to light the days before electrification in rural Ireland, interspersed with stories of life in the city.
Her love of reading stems from childhood, where she could be found most of the time with her head in a book in a quiet spot at the bottom of a field.
