the-lighthouse
The Lighthouse

This book was written during the height of the Pandemic and Remote learning of three of our Grandkids. Service of Honesty and fulfilling the Golden Rule were topics of discussion during this time. Black History Month was another area leading to the development of this book. Mel Campbell was a Senior when I was a Sophomore in High School and he made a journey from South Carolina to Iowa to attend school. I always felt Mel was my Protector during this time. Mel and I crossed paths again when he went on to attend the University of Northern, which Lorrie and I attended a few years later. So during Remote Learning, I googled about Mel and found he came North because of the Jim Crow Laws. Then I questioned why I didnÕt know more about this during High School and how I wish I could meet Mel again. This book is credited to Mel and the Journey of Our Priceless Explorers to four different villages. Their quest shows them the need for four things: Eyes to see the Mission, Ears to listen for knowledge to Voice their ideas, Faith to keep going, and to have a song in their heart to survive in the world. Everyone Matters and All Creatures have something to offer for the greater world!
