The Magnus Factor tells the story of Bill Rose and his rise to number one in the Pacific Northwest Lawn Tennis Association rankings in the 1950Õs. Bill was instrumental in the growth of tennis in Oregon, served as head menÕs tennis coach at the University of Portland, the first head pro at the West Hills Racquet Club and later as the head pro at the Racquet Club in Portland and at the Smoke Tree Ranch in Palm Springs, California. A writer of three books devoted to the fundamentals of the game, the Magnus Factor includes many of Bill's Òhow toÓ tennis tips and colorful stories of BillÕs journey through the growth of the game.
