This is the story of the descendants of Mike and Amour (Marion) Nader of the village of El Bidbaudah, a small Christian Syrian village in the Muslim Turkish Ottoman Empire, who came to American and struggled together to give their children and their childrenÕs children a better life.
It has been said that the Syrian immigrants were mostly dry goods and notions peddlers and grocers. That is very evident with these immigrants. So, you could say that they were a reflection of the thousands of Syrian immigrants who came to America. These Naders came to Shreveport, Louisiana, and Marshall and Longview, Texas straight off the boat.
This book is written for the present descendants and for the future descendants that fifty years from now may have a desire to understand their Lebanese ancestry.
