It would be convenient, if not fortuitous, to find a suitable firearm or edged weapon within immediate reach, but life is rarely that cooperative. You will thus have to make do with whatever you find within reach.
The rationale of the NO-WRONG-KNIFE defense system is simple:
- not everyone who may be engage in the field will be well-trained in unarmed combatives
- the well-trained person can also benefit from it by sparing his hands from fighting, bruising, or greater damage, and
- the knife or weapon can always be released if the situation changes to warrant it.
