Ten years ago Bob Schneider and his pal Julia Nickles came up with an idea to send each other a phrase each week, with the challenge of incorporating it into a poem by the end of the week. That initial idea turned into the Poetry Machine, with hundreds of members throughout the years. Actors, musicians, photographers, writers and other creatives have contributed over the years. This is the first collection of poetry from the machine.
