The Procrastinators
In January 2021 I put a listing on Eventbrite. A free online writing group for people who Ð like me Ð have a habit of procrastination and have made it their New YearÕs Resolution to do something about it.
I wasnÕt sure if anyone would turn up. Initially, I scheduled four sessions. Four sessions quickly became eight, and eight an open invitation to join the Zoom room every Sunday evening for a gentle creative writing and sharing session.
Five years later, and this small group of writers has gone from strength to strength. This book is a celebration of our creativity, the wide range of our voices, as well as the sheer joy and sense of community that writing together brings.
It is an honour to spend a couple of hours every week with my fellow Procrastinators and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved.
I am looking forward to many more years - and anthologies - of sharing our poetry, our prose and everything in between, and I hope that you will enjoy the wonderful writing in this book as much as I have enjoyed putting it all together.
This yearÕs anthology features the writing of Lizzie Elliot-Klein, Petra Payasa Greiner, Gail Henderson, Angi Holden, Ruth Holloway, Hannah Medland, Kristen Thomson Sheely and myself,
