The Grady Nia Project is a non-profit organization in Atlanta, Georgia that exists to empower individuals with histories of interpersonal violence and suicidality to access quality behavioral health services, find a new sense of purpose, lead meaningful lives, and affirm their commitment to living a violence-free life. Readers of this book will have the privilege of bearing witness to pieces of art that provide a glimpse into the lives being lived purpose-fully by the talented and creative individuals who participate in the Grady Nia Project. Their artwork offers a window into their journeys of overcoming tremendous obstacles and pain, healing, and engaging actively and positively in their lives and their communities.
