This publication is a factual account of the authorÕs childhood and teenage years in the 1940Õs and 1950Õs in the company of his maternal grandfather. The history of a cattle ranch, now a residential subdivision in the Quaker town of Friendswood, Texas, is presented as the author experienced it in his adolescent years. Early
history of the 400 plus acres and surrounding settlements was researched by the author and introduced in Part I of the narrative.
