This book is not a scholarly piece of work. In no way, is it meant to be an
academic text. On the contrary, this essay is an account of my parentsÕ cancer
diagnosis, treatment, fight and how I dealt with it. In addition to documenting some
circumstances, which were related to their illness, and how I reacted to them, my wish is
for this literature to positively touch the life of at least one person, who experienced
the horrors that I did, when I learned that my parents had become cancer patients, and
to provide some sort of hope and peace of mind to the aforementioned individual.
Accordingly, my intention for this book is to serve the following two purposes: 1. To
keep a record of an important phase in the lives of my parents and myself and 2. To
help other individuals who may be or may have been in a similar situation as we were.
