The Saint Andrew Psalter consists of the Book of Psalms (based on the 1979 Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church) together with more than 60 biblical canticles, pointed for use with the Saint Andrew Chant. The chant is designed to work well with English words and is meant to be easy to use by all. To this end, there are two forms, the fairly simple Arcadia Tones and the much simpler and easier Shelton Tones. All of the individual tones are included. Furthermore, each Psalm and canticle is printed with its own suggested tone in such a way that no page flipping is needed. The book is designed to be easy to use in the Daily Office.
To make it more useful, there are indexes of all English first lines as well as the traditional Latin first lines that are sometimes used as titles for the Psalms.
