His children include Addie Long (1871 Ð 1891), Joseph Brown Long (1877 Ð 1942), Mary Ann Long (1878 Ð 1962), Martha Long (1879 Ð 1963), David Long (1881 Ð 1888), Daniel Elmo Long (1883 Ð 1908), and Mattie Long (1886 Ð 1928).\u003c\/p\u003e \n\n\u003cp\u003eThe Daniel Long line is the one which the author is a direct descendent of, and special consideration has been given to document his family. He only had one son, Samuel Thomas ÒSamÓ Long (1908 Ð 1991) who was born the same year in which his father died. His mother remarried to Joe Hurt (1888 Ð 1939) and had several children by him. Sam T. Long married to Ardath Olene Harbison (1911 Ð 1986) and moved to Tumbling Creek. Her parents were Sam Harbison (1876 Ð 1952) and Mary Ann McCollum (1881 Ð 1950). Sam T.
