The teachings and commentary in this book are based on a profound text on the nature of mind: "The Seven Mirrors of Dzogchen," by Drenpa Namkha. Drenpa Namkha was a great Tibetan master in the late seventeenth/early eighteenth century from the ancient land of Zhang Zhung, which later became part of Tibet. It is one of the essential texts of dzogchen, the highest teachings in the Tibetan Bšn tradition. Dzogchen points our the nature of one's own mind as clear and open, aware, and the source of all positive qualities in life.
