The Sound of Silence is not so Silent reads as a diary of a young woman, Jessie, who has no voice, as she becomes and lives as an AAC (Augmentative Alternative Communication) user. This coming-of-age story illustrates a variety of situations and challenges faced by AAC users & those with disabilities and how AAC positively impacts all aspects of life.
