The contents of this volume are by a former Greco-Roman philosopher, whose conversation to the truth of Christianity changed the world. Clement of Alexandria wrote about one century prior the council of Nicaea, being active during the age of the middle early Christian Church. Clement is best understood through his writings themselves. This volume contains the Stromata, whereas all the other works by Clement of Alexandria are published in a separate volume. Any Christian, and any lover of truth, will find something to appreciate in these best-loved, public domain, writings on fascinating subjects beyond the immediate understanding of many.
