This thesis explains how applying lay counseling to the Church is necessary. It demonstrates how this model, created by Siang-Yang Tan, is completely Biblical,and shows how each member has a role within this system. With the mental health issues on the rise as well as divorce, alcoholism, drug use, and suicide, it is important that the Church learns how to work through it and not against it.
