FROM 1900 TO 1963, FROM WALES TO CANADA, three generations of the Blackwall family survive World War I, the 1918 influenza epidemic, the Great Depression of the thirties, and World War II. Past and present meet and embrace with exuberance and passion.
The pampered youngest child of five siblings, Emaline Frances Blackwall grows up in a life of privilege with servants to take care of her every need. As a young woman, in 1931, she follows her heart all the way to a farm on the Alberta prairies to marry her Ben and raise their family. She is happy but inept in her struggles to cope. Life is difficult.
The Blackwall saga, at its heart, is a tale of lifeÕs ups and downs. Heartbreak, death and depression are balanced by love and trust, beauty, art and music. It is the story of life lived to the fullest.
