This is a supplement to The World That Was Miniature Game.

The World That Was Miniature Game continues to provide further avenues of fun and adventure by coming down from the 40,000 foot view of Avatars & Armies to the tabletop proper with the Kings & Kaiju Ð The World That Was Role Playing Game. With both Role Playing Games and Wargames stemming from the same primogenitors of Kriegspiel, it is common to see crossover between the two systems. However, it is a desire to use the same characters from our Wargames in our Role Playing Games that brought The World That Was into fruition: to create a Game Engine that employed the same stats for Nations and Monsters in both Wargames and Role Playing Games, while providing a bridge between the two different systems. Looking above at an Army and its Commanders is far different from the view at the board level Ð especially when itÕs a single Avatar against a Challenger instead of an AvatarÕs Unit versus a ChallengerÕs Unit. Coming down from the heights to the ground level while still maintaining cohesion between Wargaming and Role Playing is a challenge The World That Was Role Playing Game Ð Kings & Kaiju has overcome.

By providing a Game Master as an Umpire, players are able to focus on Avatar interaction and embrace trying out Actions that normally would be off-limits in a structured Wargame. And with a third party guiding the Story, the players are able to immerse themselves into the Adventure without the distraction of looking up obscure rules or memorizing Army lists. This non-partial referee is the key difference between Stories in Wargames and Role Playing Ð and it is a welcome difference indeed.

This is a supplement: a copy of The World That Was Miniature Game Ð Avatars & Armies Rulebook is necessary to play this Game.
