My relationship to nature has always been fundamentally connected to a feeling of being home. As I grew up in the countryside in a small ecological community, nature and environmental consciousness was never something I had to discover. It was simply there and evident. Environmental speculation has, maybe therefore, rather naturally found its way into my artistic thought processes, and for a couple of years nature and organic mechanisms have been focal points for my projects. My approach is generally to test ideas and theories, either practically or hypothetically, and I strongly believe in the importance of looking at a given topic from as many angles as possible. I practice this thought by combining colliding themes and materials, making man-made systems and technology a part of my work as a clashing element with nature.
