Three Knightley Dances is a piece for full orchestra with an approximate performance time of 5 minutes and 45 seconds. The piece is built from three period film inspired themes and a brass fanfare, written during the period 2005 to 2007, when the composer had had a brief dalliance with the film music industry. In 2007 these individual components were merged to form the composition, but such was orchestrated for a reduced, or Ôstudio sizedÕ orchestra. In the last quarter of 2016 the composer began work reorchestrating the piece for a full, concert sized orchestra only to suffer a series of setbacks related to the failure of his main music computer and debacles in acquiring a similar machine that could run its dated software.
