In this tale, Thumperino learns that books are being stolen from libraries all over the city. During an investigation into this crime, he meets a maniacal former librarian with a powerful laser and a painful past. In order to put an end to the villainÕs plans, he enlists the help of his best friend Veronica, which may prove to be dangerous.
