ÒTimes Up!Ó has a title inspired by the recent Internet hashtag that was born after revelations of Harvey WeinsteinÕs disgraceful acts of sexual harassment against women. In the months since its creation, ÒTimeÕs Up!Ó has come to represent a feeling inherent in many ethical, political, and social movements. We as writers felt empowered by the urgency of this statement. Each of us comes from a very different background, but we are all unified by our passion to create a better world for ourselves and future generations. This book paints a beautiful picture of what happens when a group of educated young people refuse to remain silent on the big issues! Our topics are hard to talk about, but they are necessary conversations. We approach them in two different ways: professional research articles, and creative non-fiction works, ranging from poetry, to memoir, to short, personal essay.
Time is up and we are ready to make a change!
