The second of two volumes, this is a family history intended mainly for family members. It covers the origins and descendants of William Charles and Mary Elizabeth Cardis Smith and William's second family with Susan Moore. The Smith ancestor came to Canada to fight for the British during the revolt of their colonies. The Shewfelt family were part of the Palatine emigration, arriving in New York in 1710. Additionally, there were 2 lines from Scotland, Cardis and Reavie who married each other and merged with the Smith family. The Crawfords were from Scotland but emigrated to Ontario through Ireland.
Also of the family of Charles Edward and Sarah Ellen Crawford Parsons. It traces the Parsons and Stenlake families from Devon through the Vospers and Arundells of Cornwall with their origins in Normandy, to the kings of France and to Charlemagne.
