This Thesis investigates the design and implementation of image processing algorithms on a FPGA. Numerous image processing algorithms are implemented using VHDL and synthesised onto a Xilinx Spartan FPGA. Point operations, Neighbourhood operations and morphological operations are achieved. VHDL code is provided.In addition the theory of warping is examined.
