Turning 30 celebrates the 30th anniversary of the American Association of Woodturners. Featuring work by 36 artist working in wood, it offers an overview of the many styles and techniques that are prevalent today. Founded in 1986, the AAWÕs uniquely open and sharing community of production turners, artists, amateurs, collectors, educators, galleries, and suppliers has been central to the growth and development of woodturning. The pieces selected for this juried and invitational exhibition are testament to the many changes in the field, both aesthetic and technical, but also to the enduring traditions and appeal of this ancient craft.
